Podcast features words and music of Buddy Guy
As part of Black History Month, Legacy Recordings has posted a number of podcasts from great African-American artists. (OK, Black History Month was in February, but you can still listen to the interviews anyway!)
For blues fans, the Buddy Guy podcasts are especially interesting. Hosted by journalist Anthony DeCurtis, the four-part series features recollections and insights from the blues man and includes 15 classic tracks from throughout Guy’s career.
Other podcasts are available from Ashford & Simpson, Philadelphia soul, Miles Davis, Fats Waller, Sam Cooke and Bill Withers.

I'll be playing w/ the Duke Robillard band on the bill w/ Buddy at Mountainstage on 06/19/2009 Mountain Stage Charleston Civic Center- Little Theater (you may remember me as Toni Lynn Washington’s producer/keyboardist/general handyman…). I’ve been playing with The Duke Robillard Band for a while now and have to give you a heads up on the bands new CD “Stomp the Blues Tonight”… I feel it’s the best CD I’ve played on yet in my career, and I think it may stand up as one of Duke’s best ever! I’m not hyping you either… ”Been so Long” (the CD I made w/ Duke and Toni in 2003) has just been relegated to 2nd place on my personal discography, and that’s saying a lot ‘cause I absolutely adore that CD (and Toni as well of course!)… Love your blog!
